Antonin Odin is an independent industrial designer working at the intersection of design, engineering, and research & development.
Trained at ENSCI - Les Ateliers in Paris, he develops pragmatic solutions to complex challenges—from patented solar installation tools for EDF to modular computers built from upcycled components, and precision machines for century-old craft traditions.
His practice spans industrial R&D projects for clients like EDF, Thales, and CEA, alongside exploratory design research addressing sustainability, circularity, and technological accessibility. Whether designing safer industrial tools or reimagining how we assemble and understand electronics, his work questions obsolescence, reveals hidden impacts, and proposes tangible alternatives.
Based between Paris and Saint-Étienne, he develops functional prototypes in his family workshop—a space where traditional craft meets contemporary innovation.
Resident of Villa Albertine, New York City – 2026.
