The amount of waste on the Indian streets and the sheer presence of "E-waste" in India made me reflect about the planned obsolescence of everyday objects, for instance the toaster. The aim of the project was to improve the durability and the lifespan of the product while offering a sustainable alternative. Each component of the toaster can be removed and replaced, until the electronic system, via Arduino. All the materials used in the toaster have the same lifespan.
The manufacturing process of this toaster has been designed to promote a connection between the industry and crafts (which utilize a lot of Bamboo).
